520			_aAbstract: Background: Maternal deaths in Tanzania is in a ratio of 578 per 100,000, representing 18 percent of all deaths of women age 15-49. The main direct causes of maternal death are haemorrhages, infections, unsafe abortions, hypertensive disorders and obstructed labours (3). All these factors strongly correlate with multiparity. Grand multiparity has almost disappeared in the western countries due to availability acceptability and advancement of the family planning methods and this can be achieved by providing knowledge on the importance of family planning. The objective of this study was to assess knowledge, attitude and practices on family planning services among multiparous women at Mbulu district hospital Manyara. Methodology: A cross sectional study was conducted at antenatal clinic in Mbulu district hospital, Manyara. Involving 315 multiparous women between June and July 2020. Convenient sampling was used to select participants and data were collected using structured questionnaires. Data analysed using SPSS software version 20. Results/Discussion: The study findings showed significant association between, knowledge and communication among spouses with the use of modern FP. Therefore, interventions targeting to increase family planning information, communication among the couples, and social networks among the people should be designed and implemented.
