520 _aThe current study evaluates the ability of a multiplex-reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction test combined with an enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (multiplex-RT-PCR-ELISA) to identify and differentiate nine human mosquitoborne pathogens (eight arboviruses and Plasmodium sp.). Venous blood samples were collected from 132 children (ranging from 5-months to 12-years) who presented with acute high-grade fever (> 38.0 C) and met the WHO criteria of a presumptive malaria infection, to a medical center in Tanzania, between April 2016 and October 2016. Serial dilutions of a standard Zika virus suspension (1x107 viral RNA copies/ml) were added to the master mix containing the 9 primer sets.
