Method: This will be a cross-sectional hospital based study which will be conducted from June to October 2020 among nurses (staffs nurses and student nurses in clinical practice) in Mwanza region, Tanzania among six healthcare settings; two health centers (Makongoro and Karume), two district hospitals (Nyamagana and Misungwi), one regional referral hospital (Sekou Toure) and one zonal referral hospital (Bugando Medical Centre). Minimum sample size will be 384 study participants. Pretested, structured questionnaire will be used for data collection, on social demographic data, knowledge, attitude and practice. STATA software version 13.0 will be used for data analysis.
