Data collected were analyzed by SPSS software version 20 and were listed in tables. Results: Of 754 included cases, 547 were male and 207 were female. Most injuries were seen in the 30 to 49 year age group. The profile of the patients involved was formed by subjects mostly male young subjects. The highest frequency of trauma related to RTA, followed by falls. On the other hand violence, direct trauma and sports injuries had the lowest frequencies. Overall, 66.8% of patients had closed fractures, 32.9% had open fractures, 5.8% fracture dislocation, and 3.2% had dislocations. The injury in more than half 76.9% of these individuals affected the lower limb, with the femur 41.9% being the most body part affected, followed by 25.7% tibia and fibula. Conclusion: The results of this investigation illustrate the profile of orthopedic trauma patients treated at Bugando medical centre. The profile made in this study may contribute to the targeting of public policies for the accidents prevention. Identification of risk factors and methods of prevention is one of the most important duties of healthcare systems. Devising plans to minimize these factors and familiarizing people with them is prudent.
