In this elective field attachment which takes thirty day have been involving myself in different activities preparing patients who were go to for surgical procedures and manage non-surgical procedures. Results during the whole attachment field I was able to see different procedures which were done as a part of management of acute abdomen base on their aetiologies. I have learnt different suturing technique and complication of acute abdomen.

Abstract:

This was a one month working field practice in department of surgery at Bugando medical centre hospital. The practice was mainly based on presentation and pattern of acute abdomen.

The most aimed objective was to determine different aetiologies, presentations and management of acute abdomen. Understand on how to manage inpatient and out patients and gain more knowledge, skills in practice surgical interventions in patient with acute abdomen.
