Abstract:

This was one month working field practice at the department of cardiothoracic at Bugando medical centre.

The aim of this field attachment was to acquire knowledge and skills on the management of cancer of esophagus at Bugando medical centre (BMC), ways used to diagnose esophageal cancer at Bugando medical centre, major contributing factors to esophageal cancer, common causes of esophageal cancer at Bugando medical centre and complications of esophageal cancer.

This was acquired through participants in services and major ward rounds, clerking patients and presentation, attending to the theater and participating during procedures by assisting and attending to the clinic.
