The resistance occurs as the result of improper use of antifungal medication this includes the over use and underuse of antifungal medicine and natural resistance. People with immunecomprimised condition are at a risk of developing antifungal resistance due to the defect of immune cells. There is limited data on susceptibility patterns of azole antifungal among Candida species causing candida vaginitis in non-pregnant women at reproductive age in Mwanza Tanzania. In view of this gap this study was designed to determine susceptibility patterns of azole antifungal among Candida species causing candida vaginitis in non-pregnant women in Mwanza Tanzania. Methodology: Cross sectional study conducted from April to July 2023. The study involved a total of 152 isolates Objective: To determine the susceptibility patterns of azole antifungal for Candida species causing Candida vaginitis among non-pregnant women in Mwanza Tanzania.
