Use of effective malaria preventive measure such as insecticide treat nets, intermittent preventive therapy during pregnancy reduce the harmful effect of the disease on pregnancy. This study aimed to assess level of knowledge and practice of preventive measure of malaria among pregnant women attending antenatal clinic at Bugarika Dispensary at Mwanza, Tanzania. Methodology: Analytical cross sectional study design was employed to 172 of pregnant women attending antenatal clinic at Bugarika Dispensary, Mwanza Tanzania. Result: Overall the finding revealed that 74.4% of respondent had adequate knowledge of malaria prevention and 73.8% practiced preventive strategies. There were a significant relationship between the level of knowledge and educational status of pregnant women and their husband, gravidity, parity and occupation status of pregnant woman and their husband. Conclusion/recommendation: It is recommended that health provider carry out comprehensive health talks during antenatal clinic on malaria preventive measure in pregnancy. Insecticide treat net and intermittent preventive therapy should be given to pregnant women attending antenatal clinic. ER -
