Exclusive breast feeding for the first six months of life is now considered as a global public heath goal that is linked to reduction of infant morbidity and mortality, especially in the developing world Objectives: The study intended to determine the knowledge, attitude and practice regarding to exclusive breast feeding among the nursing mothers attended Katavi regional referral hospital in Mpanda Tanzania. Methodology: Cross sectional study conducted among 400 nursing mothers at RCH clinic where the mothers given question nares and others who were not able to read interviewed through face to face then through SPSS data cleared and analyzed. Results: 85% Respondent had some knowledge on EBF, The knowledge on exact period of EBF were only for 51% of participants while the practice reached 78.8% of all women. In case of attitude about 61.5 had good and positive attitude toward EBF. Conclusion: There is high practice of EBF in Katavi compared to general practice in low- and middle-income countries. While the knowledge is about to be similar to that of gnarl in low- and middle-income countries Recommendation: Would like to recommend further studies on the cause of gap between number of ready informed and number of those understood exactly the basic of EBF ER -
