Abstract:

Background: Toxoplasmosis is zoonotic disease caused by Coccic protozoa toxoplasma gondii, transmitted by eating undercooked meat or contact with cat feces. Most neonatal acquire by congenital during pregnancy or peripertum period.

Objective: The aims of this study is to determine the presence of signs and symptoms of toxoplasmosis among neonates admitted at Sekou Toure hospital.

Methodology: Retrospective cross sectional was used to collect data from the hospital file of parents admitted at neonatology unit from 2013 to 2018. A structured questionnaire were used to gather information.

Data analysis: Data was analyzed by using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 20 software package.
