<br/><br/> Abstract:<br/><br/>Background: Co-trimoxazole is used as analgesic and antipyretic. The safety, effectiveness and efficacy of a medicine can be guaranteed when its quality is reliable. Official monographs like USP and BP are being used for quality evaluation of medicines through running several i.e. PH test and assay test. <br/><br/>Aim: To evaluate quality of co-trimoxazole suspension collected from different pharmacies around Mwanza city. <br/><br/>Methodology: The study was laboratory based analytical and experimental study in which quality parameter of seven samples of co-trimoxazole suspension were accessed. <br/><br/>Results and discussion: All samples (except C2 on SMZ on assay test) complied with USP pharmacopoeia specifications on PH and assay test. This mean all samples drugs are of good quality and can be used to interchangeably for their treatment purposes. <br/><br/>Conclusion: To conclude all samples had good quality and they can be used for their therapeutic purposes. <br/>
