In most Tanzanian healthcare settings they rely on simple and not reliable diagnostic techniques to diagnose salmonella infections this determined prevalence and factors associated with salmonella infections among HIV positive individuals using stool and blood culture techniques at Nyamagana district hospital in mwanza, Tanzania. Methods: this was a cross sectional hospital based study which was was conducted between May and July 2019 among HIV seropositive individual attending CTC at Nyamagana district hospital, Mwanza. Blood and stool samples was collected from HIV seropositive patients attending care and treatment at Nyamagana hospital. Detection of salmonella species from blood will be done on blood agar and mac-conkey ager while be done on salmonella- shigella agar (SSA) Plates.
