Field attachment simply is learning where a student trainee is attached to a service organization or institution in order to learn the application of the theoretical frame work. It is all about putting the theories acquired in the class room into practice to acquire more skills in his or her specialty. My field attachment in surgery department at Sekou Toure hospital Mwanza city council is part of my academic completion of semester 8 as a medical doctor student. Also to acquire practical skills on managing patients as best foundation on my career like a future doctor as follow. Learning surgery department approaches. Learning theatre routines. Learning fundamentals of surgical practice. Learning the surgical abdominal cases. Learning about laparotomy, abdominal trauma and urinary problems.
