Abstract:
Background: Diabetic foot ulcer is neurovascular complication of diabetic mellitus and a main cause of non-traumatic major and minor amputation globally. The main goal of this research is to search on anticipated long-term outcomes of amputation as a result of DFU who attending SOPD at BMC and who at surgical word.
Methods: This cross- sectional study was based on data collected from October 2022 to march2024, at Bugando medical center specifically who are visiting surgical ward and SOPD.
Expected outcome Though this study generated valuable information, the result opened the way for other researchers to explore methods to address long-terms out comes and find other ways to manage the DFU. The outcome highlighted in my study contributed to this body of knowledge.
Results: Research included total of 357 with mean age of 56 in which percent of nohealing ulcer was 26.4% and reamutation was 18.35, psychological problem was 67.4%, deformities of limb was 635%, pain was 88.5%, muscle infection was 26.1%, bone infection was 14.9%,bleeding was 51.1%, wound dehiscence was 28.4%.mmm
