The prevalence on how well the prevention and complication of teenage pregnancy is still low, thus much effort has to be enforced to solve this problem in sub Saharan countries such as Tanzania. Aim: The aim of this study was to determine knowledge and attitude towards preventive measure and complication of teenage pregnancy Methodology: This was a school based cross sectional study that was conducted among female adolescent attending Mwanza secondary school in Nyamagana district. Data was collected using questionnaire and analyze using SPSS version 20, Ethical clearance was obtained from the joint CUHAS/BMC Research and Ethics committee Result:The study showed that participants were aware of preventive measures of teenage pregnancy in which 65.1 agreed its can be prevented by natural methods and 34.4% agreed on artificial methods of preventive teenage pregnancy. High number of participants where aware of physical, social, psychological and economic complication of teenage pregnancy.
