Methods: this was a cross sectional hospital based study which was was conducted between May and July 2019 among HIV seropositive individual attending CTC at Nyamagana district hospital, Mwanza. Blood and stool samples was collected from HIV seropositive patients attending care and treatment at Nyamagana hospital. Detection of salmonella species from blood will be done on blood agar and mac-conkey ager while be done on salmonella- shigella agar (SSA) Plates. Data was collected from participants using pre- tested structured questionnaires. Data was analyzed by using STATA version 13 as per study objectives.
