The whole process was supervised by the specialist doctors, intern doctors and nurses who were present at the appropriate day.

Abstract:

This was one month working field practice at department of internal medicine at Bugando medical centre. The practical ground was based on Gastroenterology unit.

The most aimed objective was to learn, practice and gaining more skills in inpatients management upper GI bleeding.

The period of 30 days divided into 4 week working program based on causes, management and complication of upper GI bleeding inpatient. First week was mainly based on knowing most common causes of upper GI bleeding at Bugando medical centre. Second week, knowing types of circulatory shock and management. Third week, management of upper GI bleeding according to the cause. Fourth week, learning OGD and prognosis.
