Summary, etc. This volume, the third of our series, is devoted to all the practitioners, specialists<br/>and researchers interested in the updates in some critical areas of reproductive<br/>endocrinology.<br/>The possibilities offered by luteal phase stimulation, the management of luteal<br/>phase in IVF cycles, the importance of genomics to better understand ovarian<br/>response and the critical management of poor responders, together with the relationship of gene expression in cumulus cells with oocyte quality are the areas of ART<br/>developed in this book.<br/>Another important chapter is “Premature Ovarian Insufficiency: Advances in<br/>Management Through a Global Registry.”<br/>The third part of this volume is devoted to neuroendocrinology and covers<br/>stress-induced hypothalamic amenorrhea, obesity and anorexia nervosa, the<br/>neuroendocrine basis of ovarian aging and androgen replacement in women.<br/>The complex areas of glucose metabolism and polycystic ovary syndrome with<br/>the impact of myo- and chiro-inositol, as well as cardiovascular risk in obesity, are<br/>discussed in details, together with the diagnosis and treatment for endometriomas,<br/>medical therapies of myomas and vitamin D deficiency.<br/>The last part of this book is related to the climacteric, menopause and aging,<br/>focusing on contraception in the climacterium, the management of menopausal<br/>transition, the impact of steroid replacement therapies on the aging brain, and concludes with the current findings on soya and isoflavones and their clinical aspects,<br/>as well as the body identical hormone replacement.<br/>Gynecological reproductive endocrinology still represents a rapidly growing<br/>discipline and this volume offers readers a real possibility for updating their knowledge and help in the better management of their patients.
