520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc.
"Abstract:

Background: Moringa oleifera a plant native to tropical regions, is renowned for its nutritional and medicinal benefits. This study investigated the concentration of calcium and iron minerals in various parts of Moringa oleifera, specifically leaves, barks, seeds and pods found in three different regions in Tanzania which are Dodoma, Mwanza and Mbeya. Understanding these mineral levels is crucial for assessing the plant’s potential as a dietary supplement and its role in nutrition.

Method: Samples of Moringa oleifera leaves, barks, seeds and pods were collected from different regions of Tanzania. The samples were dried, grounded and analysed using ICP-OES to determine the concentrations of calcium and iron. The analysis was performed in triplicate to ensure precision and reliability of the results.

Results: The results revealed varying concentrations of calcium and iron across different parts of the plant. The leaves revealed a higher concentration of calcium and iron. Seeds contains moderate levels of calcium and iron while barks and pods had lower concentration.

Conclusion: Moringa oleifera leaves are particularly rich in calcium and iron minerals, making them a valuable source of these essential minerals. The lower mineral content in seeds, barks and pods suggests that while these parts contribute to overall mineral intake, the leaves are the most significant sources of calcium and iron."
