Summary, etc. | Abstract:

BACKGROUND. Non-communicable diseases are chronic conditions that do not result from an infectious process and hence cannot be transmitted from one person to another, and have a prolonged course that do not resolve spontaneously, and for which a complete cure is rarely achieved. Cardiovascular non-communicable diseases are non-communicable diseases, which affect the normal functioning of the heart and the vascular system. Recently the population of patients admitted with non-communicable diseases has gone high and the large number patients in that category has been observed to be elderly patients. Most of the patients with non-communicable diseases often seek medical attention in the late stages of the diseases, with more than one condition, such that their treatment becomes more complicated since they appear in hospital with the end complications of their diseases which sometimes may even be irreversible or be a cause to another non-communicable disease thus leading to increased burden of non-communicable diseases and admission rates among the elderly patients in the medical wards.

OBJECTIVE.
