Summary, etc. Abstract: <br/><br/>Background: Respiratory tract infection is worldwide common disease for children under five years caused by bacteria, antibiotic suspension are used for treatment of this disease. Miss use of antibiotic in a treatment may lead therapeutic failure. Care givers must be equipped with knowledge and practice on proper use of suspension antibiotics.<br/><br/>Method: A cross-sectional descriptive design was conducted on 150 care givers were from May-June 2019 in the community at Nyamagana District, Mwanza-Tanzania. Data was collected using interview questionnaire for the care givers present at home who have children under five years regarding the use of suspension antibiotic. Data was analyzed by using SPSS Version 20 as per study objectives.<br/><br/>Results: Among 150 caregivers 89(59.3%) were at age between 15 and 30 years. In case of education level 94(62.6%) had primary school. Out of 150 caregivers, 32(22%) had good knowledge on reconstitution, 42(28.3%) had good on dose administration and 11(7.3%) had good knowledge on storage of suspension antibiotic while (48(32%) of caregivers had correct practice on reconstitution, 135(90%) had correct practice on dose administration and 3(2%) had correct practice on storage of suspension antibiotic.<br/><br/>Conclusion: This study reflected that there is 118(78.7%) of care givers had a poor knowledge on reconstitution, 108(72%) had a poor knowledge on dose administration and 139(92.6%) had a poor knowledge on storage condition of suspension antibiotics while there were 78(52%) had a poor practice on reconstitution, 134(89.3%) had a good practice on dose administration and 147(98%) had a poor storage condition of suspension antibiotic after reconstitution. <br/>
