Summary, etc. | Abstract:<br/><br/>Background: babies born before arrival at a health facility have a high risk of neonatal death and their mothers a higher risk of maternal death compared with those born in facility. Being born before hospital is accounted as among of the factor contributing to neonatal death although a large number of neonates tend to survive (1).<br/><br/>Objectives: the study was aiming at determining the prevalence, factors and outcomes of neonates born arrival (BBA ) ADMITTED TO THE PEDIATRIC WARD AT Bugando medical Centre (BMC) FROM March 2019.<br/><br/><br/>Methodology: the study conducted was hospital based prospective study which was conducted at BMC neonatal wards. The study population were neonates who were admitted at BMC neonatal wards from March to June 2019. Data were collected using data collection sheets, then data entered and analyzed using SPSS version 20.<br/> |
