Summary, etc. Abstract:<br/><br/>Introduction: Cervical cancer is the common malignance disease among women worldwide especially in developing countries. Despite different interventions to have been brought forward to improve the status of this malignant disease, yet the number of death, recurrence of the disease among women continues to worsen over time. <br/><br/>Methodology: The study was retrospective cross sectional hospital based where by 205 files was recruited from medical store department. At checklist form was used for data collection in which socio-demographic characteristics, reproductive data, treatment regimen and treatment outcome faced by these patients were assessed. <br/><br/>Results and Discussion: Study population had the mean age of 52 years which ranged from 27-89. 52.2% of women diagnosed with cancer were from Mwanza. The study findings showed that, most of patients were diagnosed with cervical cancer stage II followed by stage I, III and IV. Squamous cell carcinoma was 91.7% and 8.3% Adenocarcinoma. 35.1% patients were treated by combination of external beam radiation and chemotherapy, 22.4% patients had an additional of Intracavitary radiation, while the rest patients had other modes of treatments. Recurrence of symptoms was observed in 16.6% patients, while 41.0% had no recurrent of symptoms. 98.5% study population was alive and only 1.5% died during treatment period. <br/><br/>Conclusion: The study revealed inadequate information based on pattern of care for cervical cancer patients. Inconsistency between the knowledge of the study population with their adherence towards modes of treatment provided by the oncologists could be a result of ignorance of the information concerning the disease as well as the fear of death as it is a belief that cancer as no cure. <br/>
