Summary, etc. Abstract: <br/><br/>Background: Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) such as Chlamydia, fungi syphilis and gonorrhea and HIV appear to be an increasing problem in developing countries like Tanzania, especially among 16-19 years old. This may indicate that adolescents lack the necessary information and options which can help them lead healthy sexual and reproductive lives. The aim of the study was to assess students’ knowledge of sexually transmitted diseases. <br/><br/>Objectives: This study describes the level of knowledge about sexual transmitted diseases among secondary school student at Nyamagana district in Mwanza region. <br/><br/>Methodology: This will be a descriptive cross sectional study which will be conducted at secondary schools in Nyamagana district. Participants will be recruited consecutively until the estimated sample size will be achieved. Data will be collected by using a structured questionnaire. The data obtained will be entered and then analyzed using the statistical package for social science (SPSS) version 20. <br/><br/>Results: Total of 138 students studied, mean average age were 1.88 with SD of 0.443 majority of students were 87 female about (63%) and 37 were male about (37%). Overall 138 students came up with (100%) knowledge about sexually transmitted disease on which each student are able even to mentions one or more STIs which are familiar with and about 104 students (75.4%) were able to mention gonorrhea, HIV, and Syphilis. And about 19 students (13.8%) were able to mention Syphilis only. And 14 students (10%) were able to mention gonorrhea and the rest 1 student (0.7%) mentions UTI and fungus. <br/>
