Summary, etc. Abstract: <br/><br/>Postnatal care refers to a care given to mothers in the first six weeks after delivery. <br/><br/>Aim of the study: The overall objective of this study was to determine women’s turn up and satisfaction towards postnatal health care at Biharamulo designated district hospital at Biharamulo Kagera region. <br/><br/>Methodology: This was a descriptive cross sectional hospital based study. Data collected was done by using a pre-structured questionnaire and a simple random sampling method was being used to obtain the likely sample size which was estimated 160 clients. The collected data was being analyzed by SPSS version 17. <br/><br/>Results: The finding in this study revealed that the age distribution of the women interviewed was from 16 to 49 years. Of these 51.2% were in the age group 20-29 years, which was the largest group among the clients. Primigravidae to grandmultiparaous were involved in the study. However, women aged 20-29 showed had experienced more about postnatal health care by 63.1% and nearly all (100%) women aged more than 40 years reported that they were satisfied with the postnatal healthcare given to them. Among the reasons mentioned by the women for attending and not attending the PNC were the baby needed care (49.0%) and I felt well (46.5%) respectively. For several years the attendance rate for postnatal health care has remained unacceptably low. <br/><br/>Conclusion: However, in this study majority of respondents attended or had experience towards PNC and most of them were satisfied with the service offered. <br/><br/>
