Summary, etc. Abstract:<br/><br/>Background: In orders to achieve Sustainable Development Goals of reducing maternal mortality to less than 70 per 100,000 live births by 2030 access to and quality of health services including the basic antennal care in essential. Thirty-nine percent of rural women in Tanzania have at least completed the 4 recommended visits ANC compared 54% of urban women. These statistics shows, wide disparities in socio economic factors, intrapersonal factors in ANC completion need to be bridged whereas the study explored the evidence based on the factors for the failure completing ANC and to present the decision that women they will make and the action they will take on whether to utilize the services or not. The objective of this study therefore was to determine factors for failure in completing the recommended ANC visit during the continuum of antenatal care. Understanding the disparities of not completing ANC visits from rural women in Misungwi during their postpartum period.<br/><br/>Method: The cross sectional study was used 400 postpartum women from 22 villages within 10 wards sin Misungwi district participated in study.<br/><br/>Results: The present study shows that completion of antenatal care had association with education (primary and illiterate), Mother’s occupation (civil servant and housewife), religious (traditional believer) and distance from facility.<br/><br/>Conclusions: Knowledge and importance of antenatal care should be integrated for both individual and facility level. The study has indicated that factors for non-completion of ANC therefore it’s important to explore effective ways influencing rural women on ANC utilization.<br/>
