| Summary, etc. | It is a movement of pleasure and pride for me to bring out the Third Edition of the<br/>book titled “An Atlas of Small Parts and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound with Color<br/>Flow Imaging”. The second edition of the book was a huge success. The tremendous<br/>response received by the book, was the main driving force to bring out the third<br/>edition in less than four years time. Rapid growth on technology front with evolvement<br/>of 3D imaging has given a new vision to look into the pathological conditions in<br/>much better way. Introduction of 3D imaging has definitely given a new and exciting<br/>way to peep deeper into many pathological conditions from different angles. It has<br/>definitely enhanced the confidence level to diagnose many tricky situations.<br/>This is the first Atlas where 3D ultrasound imaging has been used widely for its non-obstetrical applications<br/>for better subject understanding. The size and format of the Atlas have been totally changed for better image<br/>quality. The Atlas has become more comprehensive with more than 3600 images. Like the previous edition,<br/>the focus of the atlas is on images and not on text. The images are self-explanatory. Incorporation of clinical<br/>images makes it easier to understand. The aim of the book is to provide most illustrative and comprehensive<br/>Atlas on the subject. I wish this Atlas would serve its purpose and work as a reference book for all the<br/>practicing sonologists having interest in small parts and musculoskeletal ultrasound. |
